Coenzyme Q10- The Critical Heart Nutrient that Could Save Your Life

Take nutrients that help your heart

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is sometimes referred to as the king of antioxidants. It’s a critical heart nutrient that can save your heart and your very life!

Many doctors are not aware of the importance the supplement CoQ10 can have for their patients who are taking cholesterol lowering drugs or statins. The side effects of these drugs can kill!

Taking drugs that lower your cholesterol such as Lipitor or Crestor can lower and destroy the super nutrient Coenzyme Q10 that is found naturally in the body and is required by all cells.

The same can be said for the statin drug Lovastatin.  Columbia University did a study that found that CoQ10 was drastically reduced in patients taking Lipitor after only 14 days.

This is only one of many studies that have shown the significance of the heart saver nutrient CoQ10.

There are more than 39 million Americans who take cholesterol-lowering drugs and many are not being warned by their physicians about this potentially deadly side effect. These drugs lower the presence of CoQ10 in the body and by so doing can cause the heart to weaken and in time to fail completely.

To prevent this from happening anyone prescribed these drugs even on a short-term basis needs to supplement with this essential nutrient that functions very much like a vitamin.  Coenzyme Q10 has been studied extensively and has been proven to be effective and safe for human use.

When levels of CoQ10 drop in the human body, skin cell age very quickly. It also has other devastating effects. The cells of the lungs begin to choke and the liver cells fill with toxins. It continues to get worse – the cells of the heart cause it to stop beating and the cells of the brain shut down. If Coenzyme Q10 drops by 75 percent then the risk of death is very high! Depleted CoQ10 levels are a predictor of death. Approximately 94 percent of patients with only 25 percent of this nutrient in their bodies will die within a six month window.

If you’re taking any type of drug to lower your cholesterol then you need to take the supplement CoQ10. If you do then the blood flow to your heart will increase and will improve by as much as 91 percent.

You’ll reduce your chances of future heart problems and suffer less chest pain, and will experience fewer heart rhythm disturbances. The level of CoQ10 decreases as a person ages which means that this supplement can be a heart saver even for those who are not presently taking statins or cholesterol lowering drugs.
