Getting From “Feeling Like a Good for Nothing Fat Slob” To a Dream Body

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

If you’re tired of looking in the mirror and “Feeling Like a Good for Nothing Fat Slob” but don’t know how to get to your dream body then take a read here.

First – you’re not alone.

Whether you’ve always been “fighting the flab” or struggle to stick to a weight loss program then join the millions who feel the same.

But the difference is you’re going to read about things that can finally make a difference for you.

I see many people in my hypnosis practice for weight loss that have been on the popular diets and spent a small fortune and basically after months – and in a few cases years – are right back where they were in weight before they started.

It’s demoralizing and frankly depressing.

There are 3 elements to any weight loss program:

  1. Attitude.
  2. Diet.
  3. Exercise – Don’t worry you’ll be pleasantly surprised at my recommendation here even if you can’t run up the stairs.

As you can see just forging ahead on a “Weight Watchers” or “South Beach Diet” and expecting the ponds to melt away is not realistic unless you have the other elements in place. I’ll explain about all the elements that go to make up a successful weight loss program in three parts. Today I’ll tackle attitude.

Attitude:

I start with attitude because losing weight and keeping it off is a factor of your commitment and your relationship with food.

In my multi-session private and group weight loss hypnosis programs in Massachusetts I cover the reasons why people overeat and provide resources to overcome self-sabotage. We all have different triggers that dictate our eating patterns and these triggers can be caused by stress and what is termed as “emotional eating.” For many overeating is linked to an event in the past that may or may not be easily identified.

While hypnosis can help uncover the original event for overeating its not critical for moving ahead.

What is critical for any weight loss program is commitment caused by a desire for change. It’s no use being miserable with how you look if you’ve got no desire to change – nothing will happen – and if you start a weight loss program you’ll be “swimming against the tide” and it’ll quickly become another “lost dream.”

Even if the desire and commitment are there to lose weight this is still not usually enough as your habits and relationship towards food needs reprogramming.

Your habits are formed and controlled by your subconscious mind and this is where hypnosis makes the difference. People who bring a desire and commitment to my weight loss sessions make great candidates for hypnosis and making monumental changes in their habits.

Hypnosis helps change their overall attitude towards food and weight loss. It’s a critical building block before a diet plan can be successful. Effectively, hypnosis for weight loss provides the attitude and mindset – glue if you will – that bonds all the elements in a weight loss program.

By the way this is true for smoking cessation, and phobias, where hypnosis can overcome bad habits and deep-rooted fears.

If you’re on a diet plan or exercise program and not seeing the results you expect and beginning to feel like a “Good for Nothing Flat Slob” again, then there’s probably something else going on with your subconscious mind you’re not even aware is happening, but that’s sabotaging your attempt at losing weight.

Get unstuck by contacting a hypnotherapist in your area and seeing how they can help. Many people like to try a self-hypnosis program initially and if this is you then get information about Dr Roberta Temes Enjoying Weight Loss program here.

In my next post in this series I’ll be covering the topic of diets and healthy food habits and how the food pyramid in places is just plain wrong and how we’ve got it all mixed up about protein and carbohydrates. You’ll never look at food the same way again. To read it go here now.
