What is Hypnosis Really Good For?

Hypnosis opens our subconscious mind

Before trying any type of alternative therapy it’s always wise to do some research on it. The more you know the more comfortable you’ll feel.

Hypnosis is one of those therapies misunderstood and therefore shrouded in mystery and uncertainty. This is mostly because it deals with the mind – the unconscious mind – and frankly we’re just beginning to learn about the power of our conscious and unconscious mind.

I think of hypnosis as harnessing the power of the subconscious mind to help us overcome barriers or challenges stopping us achieving the goals we deserve. This is the focus of my work at the moment. And frankly I haven’t found an area of mental barrier where hypnosis can’t help.

There are many examples of life issues and goals that are successfully treated thanks to a well trained hypnotist and effective hypnotherapy sessions.

Hypnosis provides us with a direct, fast and effective means of tapping into the unused reserves sitting waiting quietly in our subconscious minds. We all have a subconscious mind, however we simply don’t access it as often as we could, or should. According to experts who study the phenomena of the mind, this represents as much as 90 percent of our total brain power.

In the same way while parts of the subconscious mind aren’t used at all, other parts fall victim to mis-programming that can lead to negative and destructive habits in life that can lodge in our brains for a long duration of time.

Hypnosis can be every bit as effective at uncovering the root cause of this mis-programming and removing it, thereby making it possible for it to be replaced with positive, beneficial, rewarding and empowering thoughts that can lead to improvement in life and habits that move a person’s life forward, as opposed to backwards.

Hypnosis can help a person to lead a healthier life. It can help you to lose weight and control your weight once you have lost it. It can help you to quit smoking. It can be used to control chronic pain, to reduce the stress you feel and to boost the functioning of your immune system. Hypnosis can strengthen your level of self-esteem, improve your level of confidence and allow you to feel unstoppable in a good way!

You can live the life you’ve always wanted to with the help of hypnosis because you’ll no longer be held back by fear or anxiety.

Hypnosis therapy will rid you of irrational fears holding you back in life and it’ll help your performance in everything from your career to your chosen sports. You can overcome procrastination, and learn to deal with strong emotions, such as anger, guilt, regret and sadness. Hypnosis will make you a stronger and more fulfilled human being!

For all those naysayers who try to warn you off of hypnosis bear this in mind- according to Dr. David Spiegel, the Chair of Psychiatry of Stanford University School of Medicine, “Hypnosis is not mind control. It’s a naturally occurring state of concentration. It is actually a means of enhancing your control over both your mind and your body.”

Hypnosis allows you to know your mind better and to get more in touch with it. Couldn’t you use more of that in this day and age?
